The Kangaroo Hoppet is now proud to present three amazing sporting events each year.
Whether you are an elite athlete wanting to take on the world’s best, a weekend warrior yearning for some more adrenalin in your life or you simply enjoy getting outdoors with your friends, we can offer you a range of exciting and exhilarating experiences in the beautiful mountains of the Alpine Shire.
Join us in the Upper Kiewa Valley, for the iconic Mt Bogong Conquestathon in February/March, the Mount Beauty Running Festival in May, and the Kangaroo Hoppet international cross country ski marathon at the Falls Creek Alpine Resort and Bogong High Plains in August.

🚗🚫PARKING AT MOUNTAIN CREEK CAMPGROUND and CARPOOLING🚗⭐️

Parking is extremely limited 🏔️ and we ask that you car pool, or arrange to be dropped off if living local.
There is only one road into Mountain Creek Campground and this road needs to be accessible by emergency services including fire trucks at all times.
Parking will take place along the side of Mountain Creek Road and in places only on one side to not block emergency trucks or other vehicles.
Parking Marshals will assist, so please comply with their request of where to park, but we ask you to be dropped off, or car-pool from home or arrange to meet others in Mount Beauty/Tawonga before driving to Mountain Creek.
There is an open private property paddock some 400m from the event hub –
- The owner of this property has advised there is strictly NO parking allowed on that property -

Feel welcome to comment below and help arrange carpooling to avoid cars being parked kilometres down the road…
(you have far enough to hike next Saturday without hiking to the start line first because of too many cars parked)!
Avoid the early morning rush of registration and mandatory gear check and collect your bib and pre ordered shirt on Friday afternoon in Mount Beauty between 1700h to 1930h or very early Saturday morning, 0610h at Mountain Creek Campground.
