Round Two - Aug 15 - Australian 15/30km Championships
Round Three - Aug 19 - Australian 5/10km Championships
Round Four - Aug 21 - Australian 10/15km Championships
Round Five - Aug - 28 - Kangaroo Hoppet 42km
Congratulations to Grame Bottomley of Mt Beauty
Graeme's team Saints Supreme came from behind to win Ski Team 99, the first team to win overall without winning an individual round. In fact, Saints Supreme only made it into the top ten once, in Round Two, a round where two of his skiers did not even start. Graeme wins a breakfast for two at the Mt Beauty Bakery (lucky he lives in the right place), and either a One Planet "Street Cam" Gortex Jacket or an Adventure Designs "Chameleon" Jacket, from the CSE Great Outdoors Centre in Canberra.

1104 Overall Placings As predicted, the performances of Robyn Rodd and Nick Almoukov in the final round played a major role in determining the final winner. Both skiers placed fifth, providing 90 points to catapult Saints Supreme into the top position. Front runner You're not a God, You're a Birthday Cake managed only 55 points in the final round, with only two of it's skiers managing to finish the 42km Hoppet. Congratulations to all participants in Ski Team 99, if you are passing through Canberra don't forget to drop in to CSE Great Outdoors to see the jacket that you didn't win.
Congratulations to Lois Marsland of Mt Beauty Victoria for winning the first round of Ski Team '99. The key to success of her team FLAKE was the selection of value for money skiers Leon Spiller and Esther Bottomley. It was a very competitive round however, with 4 teams within 5 points at the top of the table. Lois wins an Elephant's foot from the Mt Beauty Bakery and a pair of Speed Kills sunglasses. Ski Team '99 moves now to Mt Hotham and the Australian Championships beginning next weekend.

And the winner for Round Two - PV Stars from Jeannette Korten of Curtin in Canberra. The usual deal, Jeannette recieves a pair of Speed Kills sunglasses and a voucher for an Elephant's Foot at the Mt Beauty Bakery. With four individual place-getters, PV Stars did not even require the services of NSW junior Liesl Redmond, who did not travel south for the women's 15km. PV Stars also move into second place in the overall standings amd running for the Jacket from CSE in Canberra.

With the highest round score so far, Chris's Cape has won the third round of Ski Team '99. The two top teams had the same secret ingredient - Cameron Morton, who came through with 80 valuable points. With Cameron skiing the remaining two races, Tricky Nicky will have a good chance of winning another Elephant's Foot from the Mt Beauty Bakery. The Speed Kills glasses are in the mail.

Round Four - Aug 19 - Australian 5/10km Championships Controversy hits the fourth round of Ski Team '99! Initially it seemed that Esther Bottomley's team Esther 1 had won the round with the huge score of 338 points. Then close examination revealed that Esther had overspent the salary cap at the start of the season, having skier values totalling to 520 points. The Elephant's Foot and Speed Kills glasses instead go to The King and Jane's Jacket on 222 points. The next question is: Who is The King? The address of the coach was given as "I'll contact you." Mysterious.

Round Five - Aug 28 - Kangaroo Hoppet 42km As expected Hoppet specialty teams dominated the final round of Ski Team. Allan Marsland's inappropriately name Round 4 won very comfortably, tipping the first three Australian men and two of the top four Australian women in the 42km event. As the event organiser of the Kangaroo Hoppet, perhaps Allan had some inside information.
