Coaching Course Information.

Level 1.

The Level 1 course is designed to give coaches at the club or school level an understanding of basic coaching methods integrated with some basic knowledge of general coaching principles.

The Level 2 course is designed to give the committed coach a broad background in the sport sciences and a higher level of cross country ski racing knowledge. The course seeks to introduce the coach to the knowledge and coaching skills required to develop the club skier to be competitive at the state and national championship level.

 Coaches also need to complete the Level 2 General Priciples Course as a requirement of the Level 2 Cross Country Skiing Sport Specific Course. The General Principles Course can be done by correspondance, or by attending a course. It can also be started or completed before you attend the Sport Specific Cross Country Course. This course is designed as an advanced coaching course. It caters for those coaches who wish to increase their knowledge and skill in developing cross country ski racers at the elite level.
